On the mountain, way up high
It seems like I can touch the sky
My Lord told me what I should know
It's in the valley that I can grow.

Things have gone wrong and I am low

It's in the lovely green valley I grow.
Give me the courage, dear Lord
To go down to the valley below
That it is where I learn from you

And for showing me the correct way
To really understand and know
