In This Cold World In this world of bitterness
and hatred
We all need a kind word now and then
So I send you the words in my heart
The way I know that God would intend.
I like to share about things in my day
Or the loveliness of my friends
It may be how I feel about The Father
Or just something silly I may send
Sometimes the thoughts flow so clearly
Other times I have nothing in mind
Maybe it will be about one of my pets
Or how glad I am you're kind
Yes, in this world so bitter and cold
Among the killing and hatred and lies
We each need a kind word now and then
So to Jesus we can open our eyes.
Someday I know life will be greater
But until that day comes to be true
I will do my best to brighten your day
