What a perfect little wonder
That lay before my eyes
My precious baby boy
A very nice surprise.

We'd asked God for your health
But a girl or boy would do
But I know it was His will
As I stand and gaze at you

It was just the right time
You had to be a son
A little later on I know
A girl will be the right one

I raise my heart toward heaven
As I count my blessings
Seeing you for real
And now there is no guessing

A baby blesses any home
No matter, girl or boy
As long as God has chosen
To send us so much joy

We'll be so proud to be
The Mom and Dad for you
Then by and by there'll be
That little sister too
