The leaves I see, have turned to gold
On the trees just every where
The air is crisp and cool
Little creatures scurry near
All my little animal friends
Are searching for food they'll need
To hide in their winter horde
To keep it from little thieves
Flowers and plants have gone to seed
To preserve their life until spring
Getting ready and getting it right
For what the winter may bring
Fall's a beautiful season
The most colorful of all
It's a getting ready time
Before the snow starts to fall
When the tree's are bare
And not a leaf in sight
Standing tall against the sky
They've gone to sleep, it's their night
Until Spring time comes
And wakes them up again
They'll be covered with leaves
For little creature's to hide in
So fall is really harvest time
For man and beast alike
The garden's gathered in and stored
Man and beast have got it right
