~ It's
Time For
A Change
~
Caught
in a
rut,
as days
pass
away.
Nothing
of
importance,
nothing
to sway.
Routine
is the
name,
of the
game, no
play.
Work,
eat,
sleep,
it's the
same
all-day.
Noting
the
smile,
of a
friend
so dear.
Asked
what's
the
secret,
it was
made so
clear.
Come
with me,
as I
attend
my
church.
You'll
see the
reason,
to end
your
search.
Taking a
chance,
I
decided
to go.
To find
out the
reason,
of my
friend's
glow.
Entering
the
church,
a first
time for
me.
Noticing
the
altar,
beckoning
me to be
free.
The
service
began,
with
songs of
worship.
Then the
sermon,
with
talks of
sonship.
I
questioned
the why,
as my
heart
fell
apart.
I cried,
no, I
wept,
His love
hit me
sharp.
I now
knew in
my
heart,
what I
had
missed.
The
love,
the
compassion,
the
Jesus I
once
dismissed.
I
accepted
His
deliverance,
my sins
are no
more.
His
sacrifice
on
Calvary,
opened a
closed
door.
Now I
can
smile,
as I go
about my
day.
I know
Jesus is
the
answer,
His
love,
truth,
is the
way.
I'm
overflowing
with
happiness,
I have a
sparkle
in my
eye.
Jesus is
my best
friend,
He saved
me, now
I know
why.

"I am
come
that
they
might
have
life,
and that
they
might
have it
more
abundantly."
