~ It's Too Long Ago ~

I think it's far too long
Since we had a cup of tea
Sitting at the corner cafe`
Just being you and me

For, that is how I see it
In the backdrops of my mind
Talking with my special friend
At a pretty place to dine

Sharing luscious cookies
A fruit platter with our tea
At a table in the sunshine
Reserved for you and me

As we wile away the hours
Afloat with silence too-
Oh, you may be far, but in heart
I'm sipping tea with you
