It was a sad life looking back
How was I to know I had a secret, I did not know,
You see my mother who loved me, was not really my own
She sometimes hurt my feelings,
That is why I felt alone.
There was a puzzle about me,
Who, I wish I knew
When I became middle aged,
My whole world fell through.
I had a mom living, who loved me all her life,
She never stopped hoping in her heart I would come along
There was too much emptiness,
She prayed so every night,
That the child she lost would come back
And make everything all right.
