~ Just As
You Are ~
Wearing ragged jeans and
t-shirt,
He paused before the door.
He'd walked these aisles many
times,
And been turned away before.
His scraggly beard and long dark
hair
Offended quite a few;
But he walked in, and sat in the
back,
In a dark and lonely pew...
The soles of his boots were
wearing thin;
There were dark stains upon his
shirt...
And in his eyes were memories
From years of rejection and
hurt...
When the congregation started
filing in,
They acted as if he weren't
there ~
With their designer clothes and
finery...
And beautifully coiffured hair.
He sat alone in silence.
His head was humbly bowed.
He listened to the sermon
And tried to reason why &
how....
In the middle of the alter call,
The Man slowly arose...
And as He passed each member,
They saw a change in His ragged
clothes...
His t-shirt turned to Purest
White...
On His Head, a Royal Crown...
The congregation gasped in fear
As He walked on slowly down...
And when He reached the alter,
He looked like The Morning
Star...
And forgiving tears fell from
His eyes,
As He said...
"Come to ME...Just as you are!"

Revelation 3:20 {KJV}
"Behold, I stand at the door and
knock:
if any man hear my voice and
open the door,
I will come in to him, and will
sup with him, and he with me."
~ As I wrote this, I heard Jesus
ask,
'And who would come and sit with
ME, and sup with ME
and come to ME just as I AM?'
Would YOU?
Do you keep Jesus in a 'box',
only taking Him out
when it's convenient...when you
are not ashamed
to let people see Him? Or do you
live your life
as if He's ALWAYS with you?
UNASHAMED of who He is?~
