A Lazy Afternoon ~
I watch the wind move the
treetops
And the birds soar high in the
sky
The sounds of the distant
motorboats
And a nod from a passerby.
I watch as the butterflies
flit about
Being lifted by currents of
air
Landing precariously on a leaf
As I sit quietly in my chair.
I slowly close my eyes and
listen
To the sounds I sometimes
ignore
Letting my senses sort them
out
As the sounds I begin to
explore.
Letting each and every sound
intermingle
With visions dancing in my
head
Letting a smile creep 'cross
my face
As sleep holds me by a thread.
