~ LINES AND WRINKLES ~

Each day brings me so much happiness and joy
I look forward to every wrinkle and line
I'm not upset, I must confess
These lines help to define.

Just look at me and you will see
So many wrinkles upon my face
But I'm not sad, I'm really glad
Years of living have left a trace.

So many laugh lines adorn my face
There's crow feet and much more
But that's okay, I seize the day
I don't worry about those things anymore.

Why worry about something that can't be changed
Just concentrate on the here and now
Kick up your feet, don't accept defeat
Don't sit around, mope, and scowl.

I call my wrinkles character lines
I won't let them get me down
I won't cry or even sigh
I wear my wrinkles like a crown.

So when you meet someone new
Or gaze at yourself in the mirror
Accept what you see, remember me
And everything will become much clearer.
