You precious little poochie,
how I love you so!
You're a faithful friend to me
you're always "on the go".

You prance around my ankles,
dancing to your tune,
sniffing diligently at the air,
catching scents only you can do.

Your little nose amazes me,
as you scuffle under the chair,
that bone you hid last week,
only you knew it was there!

You proudly watch out the window,
as if you could guard me thus....
as tiny as you are sweetheart,
it would be quite a fuss!!!

So, I'll let you continue to believe
that you take care of me,
and you gaze out at the world
so everyone can see!

Looking back over your shoulder,
you give an impish glance,
I wonder what's inside that mind,
and if I should take that chance!

I love you, little poochie dog,
God gave you to me,
he knew how much I'd love you,
and that's how he loves me.

Help me to be as non-judgmental
as this little pooch of mine,
to love all whom I encounter,
"for a friend loveth at all times".
