~ The Long Night ~
The shadows of darkness bring the wind,
It blows around me and makes my heart spin.
Long is the night as the storm rages on,
A thousand pieces my heart is in.
Oh, if I could just close these eyes,
And drift off to another land,
Where love could be true,
Then I would understand.
I settle down , snuggle right in,
And wait for all this turmoil to end.
When will sleep take me over,
So my heart can rest and mend?~*~
