~ The Meaning of Christmas ~
Once upon a time,
Long Long ago,
A Savior child was sent,
To a world down below.
This child was born in a stable,
Where animals bedded down,
Straw was used to pillow his head,
Not a blanket could be found.
Swaddling clothes were used to cover,
This precious new born King,
As he lay there sleeping,
Not yet knowing what life would bring.
But as he grew to manhood,
He knew what He had to do,
He would sacrifice his life,
For someone like me and you.
I know that I'm not worthy,
Of Him or His Love.
But God thought we were worthy,
Of the sacrifice He sent from above
So he sacrificed His only Son,
To save this world from sin,
And the Bible warns us,
His Son will return again.
So in the spirit of Christmas,
Remember the meaning so clear,
He's coming back to judge us,
So hold your loved ones dear.
Give back the love Jesus gave you,
To each and every fellow man.
Love is what He left for us,
To spread throughout his land.
I hope this Christmas, Peace and Joy,
Finds it way to you,
May your heart be overflowing,
With Love and Happiness too...
