~ Morning Wake-Up Call ~

Did you awake this morning
and see sunlight in your room?
Did you hear songbirds singing
as they chase away the gloom?

Perhaps you heard the raindrops
falling softly on the ground;
the quiet of a rainy day,
the sun cannot be found.

Then there is the winter snow
that floats upon the wind;
covering the ground with white
hiding all earth’s sins.

No matter how your day begins
whether snow or rain or sun
look up and say a prayer of thanks
to He who gave His son.
