My Child Is With Jesus ~
My child is going to be with Jesus
Angels will take my cherub to His side,
The loving arms of the heavenly Father
Will hear every cry.
For I am here, trying to live once more
Just like my child would want me to,
Eternity for my precious is secure
Peace for me will come again,
When my heart is new.
My child is going to be with Jesus
To hold onto His hand,
The trumpets will play a beautiful psalm
It will be a great day, I understand
I will rise from my deep sadness
With the flame of memory, glowing in my hand.
My child has gone to be with loved ones
So now I can be calm,
Jesus will bless my little one in heaven
Where there is peace and no more harm.
The Lord knows all of my heartache
But, I will say a prayer for strength each night
And gaze upon a golden star so bright,
Jesus loves my child, even more than I
He can hold so very tight.
