I have been so blessed by you
I just had to let you know
Tho' many friends we have
Some of them always come and go

But I found in you a friend
One that the bible explains
One who will stick closer than a brother
Friends like you who remain

A forever friend-- that's you
Makes my life so much brighter
Motivates me to smile a lot
makes each burden a little lighter

For I am sure of one thing
I can count on you to be true
To expect nothing more of me
Than being a friend to you
