~ My Place of Solitude
~
Oft times in early morning,
When most are still asleep,
I like to get out for a walk,
Sometimes to the park I creep.
That is my place of solitude,
A place where I can think,
I can sit and feel at peace,
When I long for nature’s drink.
A place where I feel close to God,
As I sit among the trees,
His voice is in the bird song,
And He whispers in the breeze.
I think sometimes we need a place,
Where we can be alone with God,
For oft times we get weary,
Along this road we trod.
I know that you will tell me,
That God is everywhere,
But, that is my place of solitude,
And I always find Him there
