~ My Thanksgivings ~

The turkey and the stuffing
Sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie
All of these delicious foods
Will surely catch our eyes.

But the things I am most thankful for
Come to me with so much great love
They can only be given to us by God
Our Lord and Father in Heaven above.

First I am thankful for my family
Who with all my heat I do adore
We were not as close knit as some
But we shared Love and so much more.

Then I am thankful for my true friends
Some I still have not chanced to meet
But even though we are miles apart
Everything that they do or say is so sweet.

But mostly I am thankful for Jesus
I am so glad he is in my own heart
I know he will always walk by my side
And when I may stray he will not part.
