My Valentine Gift ~
"What did you get for
Valentines day?"
These words were asked of
me..
"Did you get a dozen
roses?
or perhaps a diamond
ring?"
"Did your sweetheart give
you a car,
some candy or a cake...
perhaps some money in a
card
or a cruise you both can
take?"
And I just smiled and
winked,
for they just don't
understand,
that what I got for
Valentines day
cannot be held in a hand.
My gift is much more
precious,
than any ring of gold.
He gave to me undying
love,
a promise that never grows
old.
He put a smile into my
heart
and a twinkle in my eyes.
For this I'd trade a
thousand gifts,
for it's something money
can't buy.
