~ Never Alone ~
You know those days when
we feel abandoned
We have all felt that way in days that are gone
Now, if those days creep up quietly behind me
It is in your friendship that I am suddenly free
With the time to share such happy memories
Even when advice is needed, you say your piece
With such great friends in my life I have been blessed
Of which many years ago I would never have guessed
Even when you cannot find the time for me
God finds angels, when it is company I need
It is His spirit that let me open my gates
Letting in friends, giving as much love as it takes
So each night I thank the Lord for His love
In His angels such as you, guided from heaven above
For now with this gift of angels, I call friend
I will never be alone, even at the very end
