As always, falling in love
Is a wonderment and a surprise
The same as each new spring
Only seen through different eyes.

You begin anew in life and love
With the same start as yesterday
Unconcerned about where you've been
Only what is along the way.

The eternal magic of love
Makes you believe once more
Only wisdom makes you move
More cautiously than before.

For in the absence of love
How useless are the seasons
Without another to turn to
In love's no rhyme or reason.
