Not, just a quick, unfeeling hug
Swiftly passing by
with very little thought or care
But, a warm one from the heart
pressed in, with all the love
I have to share

Not, just a hug to brush off and forget
But one with real meaning
from the heart
Filled up with prayer and lasting love
That's what I want this hug, today
To impart

Not, just an empty pointless hug
with a light how de do
and very little pause
But, a let's sit down for a heart to heart
For no other reason than
Just because

For I don't want to be a fly by night
Fair weather friend
That always comes and goes
But I want you to know your heart is hugged
in forever love
So you don't feel alone
