No Time To Die ~
No one should die in
the winter
When the ground is
hard and cold
When blankets of
winter's downy white
Are a vision for eyes
to behold
When frozen brooks
begin to thaw
When birds at dawn
will sing
When trees turn green
and flowers unfold
No one should die in
spring
When evening summer
thunderstorms
Wash air and earth of
their sins
When glazing sun gives
comforting warmth
'Tis no season for
life to end
When autumn's
leaves float to the
ground
Should we, like they,
just fade and fall?
There is no season, my
heart cries out,
No good season at all
I'll keep my faith in
higher powers
And trust when mortal
souls should die
God knows the reason
and picks the season
For us to be forever
by His side
