OH THIS AGEING #3

I feel this old body
needing a meal
So I got out of bed
my tummy to fill

Fixed up some bran
with a side dish of prunes
One glass of orange juice
my clothes were in ruins...

Off to the tub I went for a bath
down in the water I went with a splash
It took forever just getting up
I guess I'm too old for that deep little tub

That wore me out so
I went back to bed
With the feeling of soap
stuck all over my head

Oh please someone help me
it's so hard to be old
It was supposed to be like
the feeling of gold...

Now all the gold
I see in my life
Is the little gold band
I was given as wife

So be careful sis
don't believe all you hear
Because you are old
gold don't just appear

Look for a helper
let the gold go
You still are not done
with this ageing sideshow!
