~ Pages of a Book ~

Like some romance novel,
out of the pages of a book,
our lives trip over each other
as we stop to take a look.

Stumbling to our knees,
then rising up again,
we push on to the goal
that never even began.

Blindly seeking the path
where hidden pleasures lay,
the thorns catch our lives
as we search for a way.

Scratching wounds that haven't healed
we patch them up and then,
we slowly rip the stitches,
that help life heal again.
