My little heart is hurting, why, Oh why..
I feel so alone, so afraid,
Please, stay near, I want to understand
Why do you leave me, please don't go away...

Stay with me, I need you
To love me and hold me and keep me warm
To be safe, close to your heart
I cannot bear it, my little soul
Is breaking all apart.

Why, oh why do you have to walk
Away, far, far, far, too far to see,
Can't you see, can't you know
This life you made for me to live
Wants you, needs you... to be

Can't you see my eyes, won't you look back
Just to look at me, I love you
Turn back, turn back, just once
To glance, turn back, again
To look, turn back, to give
I need what you are, to see me through.

Love must have a way
So I can walk in your footprints
And learn how it is to smile
With no sad tears to fall,
For tomorrow I will be crying
The day after I will weep without a sound
And every day forever more...

I will be too sad to feel
I will not want to look upon my shattered heart
Hurt, broken
Scattered all across life's floor.

And I will keep on asking and asking..
And then I will build myself a little wall
For no-one, will ever tell me why
What did I do..
The one who loved to give me birth
Now wants to say goodbye.
