The rain has just stopped
yet
dark clouds linger

Stealing my laughter
and
killing my soul

Try as I might not to cry
tears
trickle down my chin

Flowers have faded
died
as has my heart

Yesterday's dreams
buried
and forgotten

Thinking of the 'we'
love
shared t'ween you and I

Precious moments
dancing
'neath a silvery moon

Promises of forever
bonded
hearts joined as one

Though gone are those days
still
I feel you, smell your cologne

Can hear your whispers
caressing
romancing my mind

Just wanting to sleep
forget
what used to be

Can you not remember
when
nothing else mattered?

What about the morrow's
dreams
that we planned together?

You're gone now
she
delights in what should be mine

Laughter and flowers
sunshine
lovemaking 'til dawn

I can't help but wonder
was
this all but a game to you?

My emotions run crazy
suffocating
in clouds of despair

Yes, the rain has just stopped
but inside
a silent storm is brewing

Praying....
soon sun will shine
'fore
the last teardrop falls
