~ Remember Why ~
Well another year has rolled around
And Christmas is almost here
The children are all excited
Beautiful music fills the air
I must get myself busy
So many things I must do
There's gifts to buy and meals to plan
Put up a few decorations too
But before I get started with this
I know in my heart what comes first
I must humble myself and pray
Thanking God for the dear Savior's birth
I don't want to neglect to tell Him
How I appreciated Him all this year
For He's given me so many things
When I called Him He did hear
So now as I'm here on my knees
Remembering why He came,
To save a wretch like me
As He suffered such awesome pain
So the hurrying about with things
Will be put on hold til I'm done
Giving God all the glory
for giving His only Son!
