~ Resurrection Day ~

You can call it Easter.
Call it what you may.
As for me, I celebrate
Resurrection Day!

No Easter baskets, no bunnies
No eggs to hide away!
All these have nothing to do
With Resurrection Day!

For my Christ hung on a rugged cross
His life He was giving.
Then He arose from that tomb;
And today He is still living!

It's nothing to do with Easter hats,
Or dresses that are so fine.
It has to do with Jesus Christ,
Our Savior, Lord Divine!

No pagan Goddess will I praise,
No offering to her will be given.
For I will praise the Son of God,
And the fact that He is risen!
