Sacrificed
~
On a cold
and lonely
day
On
Golgatha's
Hill,
My Lord
and
Savior,
Jesus
Christ
Submitted
to His
Father's
Will.
Betrayed
by Judas
In the
Gethsemany,
Denied by
Peter,
too,
Found
guilty at
a mock
trial.
Declared
the King
of Jews.
Paraded
down a
cold,
stone road
Displayed
for all to
see,
He
suffered
on a
splintered
cross
And died
on
Calvary.
Bleeding,
cold and
parched
with
thirst,
Tears
rolled
down His
face.
But,
dignified
until the
end,
He
suffered
no
disgrace.
Laid
within a
borrowed
tomb,
Little
could they
conceive,
That on
the third
day He
would
arise
And live
for all
who
believed.
Thomas
heard of
this
But doubt
filled his
soul.
But when
he saw the
nail
scared
hands,
His heart
was soon
made
whole!
Persecuted,
prosecuted,
Killed
upon a
cross.
Risen on
the third
day
To save us
all from
loss.
Betrayed,
denied,
hung on a
tree
And laid
in a
borrowed
grave;
Still He
arose and
ascended
For all
the world
to save!
How can
there be
those
Who can
still
deny,
That He
hung upon
the cross
And for
our sins,
there
died?
