~ Seasons
Are Like Friends ~
The leaves are slowly changing
now,
And falling to the ground.
Yes, it’s that time of year,
That fall has come around
Oh, where has the summer gone?
It went fast this year, it
seems.
All the days of summer fun
Will soon just all be dreams.
I look forward to the season
change,
When the air gets crisp and
cool,
And oh, the peace and quiet,
Now that kids are back in
school.
I love to hear the Katie-dids
As they chirp their songs of
woe,
And oh, I see locus shells
Everywhere I go.
All too soon, it won’t be long,
The trees will all be bare.
Then comes that time of year,
There’ll be white stuff
everywhere.
I look upon each season change
Just like differences in my
friends.
Like each season through the
year,
They bring blessings without
end.
