And looking out my window
I see a hint of gold
Daffodils raise up their heads
beneath the winter’s cold.

Ribbons of wings in the sky
As the birds return to nest
Spring will soon be arriving
The earth wakes from its rest.

Soon the sun will linger
Children will shout in play
Leaves will turn to green,
Welcoming summer days.

Then watch for the autumn moon,
As leaves turn orange and red;
the sky fills up with shadows
winter puts the world to bed.
