~ My Secret
Autumn Delight ~
There's a tiny autumn secret
Tucked within my heart
I hide inside to never fall
Like a leaf upon the path
Snug in among the sweetest blooms
Of treasures I hold dear
Soft tenderness of you I keep
So very very near
And when I want to chat
I whisper tenderly
I know you're there cute little
pumpkin
Deep inside of me
Soft
Whispers for special you from

He
who thanks but with the lips
Thanks but in part;
The full, the true Thanksgiving
Comes from within the heart.

Forever on Thanksgiving Day
The heart will find the pathway home.

For flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee!
Ralph Waldo Emerson
