~ Secure Yet Single ~
Shall I yet be secure
Though walking on alone,
What could my life hold
Without someone of my own.
If, I never experience the cuddles
Of a lover very tight,
Or snuggle tiny babies
To nurture them each night.
Then, where shall I find the joys
To embrace a fulfilling worth,
How will I understand each day
The purpose of my birth.
Could God hold another plan
He has chosen just for me,
Will my heart be more complete
In love with Him eternally.
Shall He be my loving husband
And hold me very close,
Will He give me of His blessing
If I care for Him the most.
May I feel a liberating freedom
Never ceremonially bound,
Might not God already know
That in Him my peace is found.
Would I know a greater thrill
In caring for a myriad of hearts,
Than housekeeping for a family
And all those daily tasks.
Help me to trust You dear Lord Jesus
For You know me inside out,
In acceptance of Your perfect will
My life I gladly vow.
God is God. Because He is God, He is worthy of my
trust
and obedience. I will find rest nowhere but in His holy will,
a will that is unspeakably beyond my largest notions of what
He is up to.

Our heavenly Father said:
"My name is not
I Was.
"My name is not
I Will Be.
My name is
I Am."
For it
was not into my ear you whispered
but into my heart,
It was not my lips you kissed,
but my soul.
A man may but hold my hand for a while
but You hold my heart forever.
