~ Age Seventy-Seven
~
With the help of my God up in Heaven
I'm hoping, to make it to seventy-seven.
No longer do I have my teenager within,
And I no longer think of committing a sin.
Sure, the road of life can often be tough,
Those bumps frequently do make it rough.
I've learned to ignore aches and pain,
With no more thoughts of raising "cane".
I'm writing this ahead of time just in case
My spirit has left earth for a better place,
So to all those with whom I shared love,
I'll be thinking of you from Heaven above.
But, if per chance, I am still here
Then I can say to all of you so dear,
While at times my life was a little crappy,
Each of you helped to make my days happy.

To keep the
heart
unwrinkled, to
be hopeful,
kindly,
cheerful,
reverent that
is to triumph
over old age.

Forget the
health food, I
need all the
preservatives
I can get!
Grow old
with me! The
best is yet to
be.
Youth would be
an ideal state
if it came
a little later
in life.

Asquith~
We are only
young once.
That is all
society can
stand.

I think
your whole
life shows in
your face and
you should be
proud of that.
