Shades Of Purple ~
You thought your day was topsy turvy
Not knowing where to turn
This way and that and all about
Shades of purple hurts to spurn
Yet, on you walked, for walk you would
The deepest purple, come what may
Your Father's love has drawn you close
In care for you today
Bows and daisies, windmill twirls
He always slips to you a smile
It may have been quite dark at dawn
But His light's within you all the while
So, shades of purple, float on by
May they become mere passing dreams
As on you walk in heaven's lilacs
And bloom the fragrance of a queen

But thanks be to God, who always leads us
in triumphal procession in Christ
and through us spreads everywhere
the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.
For we are to God the aroma of Christ
among those who are being saved....
the fragrance of life.
2 Corinthians 2:14-16b
