There is a
disorder that
many suffer and
yet don't
realize it... It is called

This usually
occurs in the
winter months,
when exposure
to sunlight is
limited.

Include:
Regularly
occurring
symptoms of
depression
(excessive
eating and
sleeping, weight
gain) during the
fall or winter
months.
Full remission
from depression
occur in the
spring and
summer months.
Seasonal
episodes
substantially
outnumber
nonseasonal
depression
episodes.
a craving for
sugary and/or
starchy foods.
Therapy:
20 minutes of
full sunlight a
day OR 20
minutes in
front of a full
spectrum light.

Shadows ~
Hold me till the
morning
when the shadows
disappear.
Chase away the
sorrow,
wipe away my
tears.
Open up the
curtains,
flood the room
with light,
help me find my
way,
ease my lonely
nights.
Shadows hide in
waiting
until the sun
goes down,
then they haunt
my dreams
and take me to
the ground.
I do not
understand at
all
these feelings
and this pain,
I want to laugh
and sing,
feel joyous once
again.
But I feel the
darkness
falling,
it captures
heart and soul,
so shelter me
with love,
until I once
again feel
whole.
