~ Shelter of His Arms ~

When I'm tired and I am weary
And don't know which way to turn;
When the fire that burns within me
So much lower seems to burn.
When I just feel like running
From this world and all its harm;
I run as fast as I can go
Into my Savior's arms.

When this world and all its problems
Seem to close right in on me;
And from this sinful world
I long to be set free;
I turn to my Savior
To break these binding chains;
I run straight to His loving arms
To be free from this world again!

Draw me closer, blessed Savior,
Draw me nearer unto Thee.
Let me hide within the shelter
Of the arms that set me free.
When I'm running far away
From my troubles and my pain,
May I run straight to Your precious arms
Where I'll be safe once again.

When I'm thirsty and I am hungry
For my Master and my Lord;
When nothing else can matter
But living in His Word;
When this old world seems so full
Of disgrace and selfish shame,
I know that I can run
Into His loving arms again.

Nearer to my Father.
Closer to my King.
Walking with my Master,
So much dearer than ANYTHING!
Within His loving mercy
Is where I need to be.
Walking in His Spirit,
Just my Father God and me!

16)  This I say then, walk in the Spirit
and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh
25)If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit
26)Let us not be desirous of vain-glory,
provoking one another, envying one another
