~ Snow Days ~

I thought snow was beautiful
Growing up as a kid.
Colorado had plenty of it
Behind our snow forts we hid.

We made snow angels
Had snowball fights
And many 'snow holidays'
Much to our delight.

Buses picked up country kids
In our small little town.
If they couldn't get out
We had a day to play around.

I have many happy memories
Of my childhood days
With neighborhood kids
Those were the good ole' days.

Now I live in Texas
Where there isn't much snow.
I miss it's pristine beauty
Leaving the land all aglow.

I'll bet you Northerners
Would disagree with me.
But, I still think it is beautiful
For every eye to see.
