Soldiers Living In Iraq
To the soldiers living in Iraq today
I feel for you in every way,
Each moment your precious lives are on the line
As you courageously face danger of every kind.
The sand is where you sleep
Never knowing if you may lose another as you go
A friend who has meant so much
Somebody you have always known.
With every step you are careful where you walk
A mine may come across your way,
The men and women in the USA
Send you their prayers today.
You are always on our minds
We live in freedom because we know,
Our brave American soldiers
Are caring for us so.
Please let us light a candle for you
To tell you, we always will be true,
The soldiers of The USA are with us
I will shake their hand when they come home
They are the greatest we could ever know.
