~ Somewhere Soft To Lay ~
Though you may rest your weary head
Yet, everywhere is hard and cold,
For there's nowhere soft to gently lay
No warmth is near to hold.
Obscurity is lurking in the shadows
With no place to safely hide,
You long for a light to shine
A brighter life to find.
What fear to face a myriad of tomorrows
And uncertainties today,
Searching for a path to follow
To secure a peaceful way.
Ah yes, but there is a secret haven
To protect us in the fiercest storm,
Where there is a velvet pillow
To lay on safe and warm.
We can run to the Lord Jesus
He is close in the darkest night,
And will cushion our heart in His love
For we are precious in His sight.
Soft Whispers from
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
