~ Song Of Summer ~
The crickets
sing their song in June
Starlight brings their joyful tune...
The locusts buzz from every tree,
And robins sing their song for free...
Then the fires of mid-July
Make us breathe a heavy sigh...
Sipping tea on old porch swings,
Still the Song of Summer sings....
The meter's pace now slows a bit,
But Summer's Song, we can't forget...
Like the kiss, we've always missed...
Summer's Song, we can't resist.
