~ So Precious ~

There is nothing quite as precious
As newborn babies when they smile
God sends them down to some
To take care of for a while.

All too soon they will be grown
They'll spread their wings and fly
So enjoy them while they're young
They are God's gift to you and I.

Raise them up within His teachings
Bring them to His house to pray
Tell them all about our Savior's birth
How for sin, He died that day.

Tell how they nailed Him to the cross
And how He wore the crown of thorns
How He shed his blood for you and I
So through Him we'd be reborn.

Lord, we thank you for these gifts
That you entrust within our hands
We will raise them in Thy words
So one day before You they can stand.
