~ Sounds Of Summer ~

The smell of new mown grass
Is softly whiffing up my nose
The laughter of the little ones
Sends chills down to my toes.

The birds are sweetly singing
The sun is shining in the sky
The squirrels are a romping
There is something in my eye.

The kittens are going wacky
As the chipmunk passes by
I can see it in their tiny faces
Oh can't I please just go outside.

Oh the awesome sounds of summer
Will be here each brand new day
From the laughter of the children
To the smell of the sweet bouquets.

But friend if it were not for one man
We wouldn't be here to see the sights
He died for all our sins and salvation
The man I speak of is our Jesus Christ
