~ Spring Is On
The Way ~
Today as I
looked out my
window
I knew that
spring was on
the way
For what I saw
was two robins
in my yard at
play.
Scurrying
,hopping and
running all
around
searching ,
hoping and
looking
to find food
some upon the
ground.
They seemed so
very happy
chirping all
the time
Looking at
each other, as
if asking
What kind of
food did you
find?
They travel
every year
so very many
miles
And I'm always
so glad to see
them
for they give
to me so many
smiles
Then one day
they'll be
gone
a time that
comes too fast,
They'll be
headed for
their winter
home
for spring and
summer here
doesn't last.
But come next
spring one day
I'll look
out of my
window once
again and see,
The same
faithful
little robins
have returned
to build a
nest and raise
another
family.
