~ Steps ~

 The greatest relationships of our lives
Are the ones where we always step
The most difficult journey I will take
Is the one I will make on myself.


The imprints I leave on the mold that is me
Will touch all those who come around
I have trod hard and softly too
I trust my journey was sound.

One foot in front of the other
I’ve made my way my own
I’ve made my life by my soul
And my heart is where I trod home.

No other shall answer for me
When asked what will I do
I’ll look at my footsteps often
For they seem to get me through.

And though I’ve heard it said
You wont make it all alone
I ‘ll simply smile inside of myself
And take the path I’ve been shone.
