The blessing of the isle of
emerald green.
Bring out the happy fiddle
And we'll dance the hours
away,
Don the wearin 'O' the green
For it's time to seize the
day.
Bring the one you love
And all those that belong to
ye,
To thank God for His goodness
Abundant as can be
The sun is shining warm
And the grass be sweet
beneath,
All your worries leave behind
And all your heart-aches cease
Find a pretty shamrock green
And gaze at it's petal three
To remember the trinity of God
above
And all His love for Thee.
May streams and woods and
calling birds
Swell in the celebration too,
And as the gentle wind doth
blow
