In the good old USA
Roll out those summer afternoons,
It's time to step back a beat
bring on the lemonade-
The oranges and peach.
Call for all your friends
To gather at the pool,
Light the barbie, hoist the flag
in delightful praise-
Where everything is cool.
Chat on summer plans
Crickets chirping in the sun,
Ask the Father what to do
where to holiday-
For all His way be done.
It's the month to celebrate
The heat is turning on,
The Creator whisked away
the frosty days-
And bid them all be gone.
Watch the clouds go scudding by
In sky so deeply blue,
What better way to receive His gift-
the pleasure
Of a balmy summer afternoon.

Earth's crammed with heaven, And every
common bush afire with God; But only
he who sees takes off his shoes; The
rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.
