~ Sunset ~

Sitting on the porch this evening
Looking at the hills far away
The sun's last rays seemed to linger
In a lovely brilliant display.

A sunset of beautiful splendor
Was a rare scene to behold
Sinking in a pale blue sky
With colors of bright pink and gold.

What a wonder of God's great beauty
Inspiring my soul with delight
I was filled with tender emotions
To see such a glorious sight.

As the sunlight faded in the west
The power of God gave me chills
While watching the sunset
Far away in the hills.
