Oh my gosh I have so much to do
Especially this time of year
I seem to be going in all
directions
I'm running out of time I fear.
You should see me when I wrap a
present
There's paper and ribbon
everywhere
Somehow I get tape stuck all
over me
It even winds up in my hair!
Let's face it - I don't wrap
presents for a living
My husband will testify to this
When I get that forlorn look on
my face
He hugs me and gives me a kiss.
He removes the tape that is
stuck on me
And tells me that I'm his gift
He puts a bow on top of my head
Which gives my soul such a lift.
And then he watches as I attempt
To complete the task at hand
Of wrapping each and every
present
He's such an understanding man.
So when you receive my gift
Christmas day
Take notice of the way it's
wrapped
I know what you'll probably be
thinking
She must've wrapped these while
taking a nap!
